Marketing Operations Manager – Automotive

Location: Guildford

Team: Marketing

Hours: Hybrid, Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)

We’re looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to take the lead on strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand, engage our customers, and support commercial growth across our dealership network. If you're a creative thinker with a hands-on mindset and a love for all things automotive, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead with vision – Take ownership of planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Be the connector – Act as the key link between Sales, Aftersales, and other departments to ensure marketing aligns with business priorities.
  • Create impact – Manage local sponsorships, brand partnerships, and customer events that drive awareness and engagement.
  • Get hands-on – Execute campaigns across digital, print, and in-person channels, collaborating with external agencies and internal teams.
  • Think smart – Leverage data, insights, and competitor analysis to inform strategy and keep campaigns ahead of market trends.
  • Drive results – Manage budgets effectively, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure all marketing activity delivers measurable ROI.
  • Protect the brand – Ensure consistency in messaging and visuals across all touchpoints, in line with manufacturer brand guidelines.
  • Lift the team – Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive, fostering collaboration and supporting team growth across the group.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We’re not looking for someone who just ticks boxes — we want a driven marketer with a passion for the automotive world, who brings energy, creativity, and a “let’s make it happen” attitude. If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in:

  • Experienced & adaptable – You’ve spent 3+ years in B2C/B2B marketing and know your way around digital, partnerships, and events.
  • Hands-on doer – You enjoy getting stuck in and making campaigns happen — not just planning them.
  • Digitally confident – Comfortable using tools like Dotdigital (or similar), CMS platforms, social media, and analytics dashboards.
  • Multitasker extraordinaire – You thrive when juggling multiple projects and stakeholders, always keeping things on track.
  • Creative problem-solver – You see roadblocks as opportunities to innovate and improve.
  • Strong communicator – Whether you’re pitching ideas, briefing agencies, or aligning with internal teams, you communicate clearly and with impact.
  • Eager to grow – CIM qualification (or studying towards it) is a plus, but a proactive, growth mindset is what really matters.
  • Full UK driving licence – You’ll need to travel between sites or attend events when required.
