Quality Controller

Location: Ashford

Basic £32,000 + OTE

HOT GROUP / BRAND

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Controller to join our team at our vehicle recovery centre based in Ashford. This role reports directly to the Service Manager and plays a key role in supporting service operations.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm

1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out quality checks on vehicles repaired in the workshop, ensuring they meet manufacturer, safety, and client standards
  • Accurately documenting quality checks using internal systems
  • Working closely with the Service Manager and Workshop Control to analyse repeat repairs and identify trends
  • Road testing vehicles following repair
  • Coaching technicians to achieve right-first-time repairs and reduce repeat visits
  • Supporting vehicle movement to and from the workshop
  • Problem solving and overcoming operational challenges
  • Collaborating as part of a team to drive productivity and enhance the customer experience
  • Providing accurate and efficient administrative support
  • Maintaining high standards of workshop cleanliness and colleague safety

About You:

We are seeking an outstanding candidate with strong technical experience and a passion for continuous improvement. The ideal applicant will be highly professional, well organised, and meticulous in their attention to detail.

You should be confident working independently using your own initiative, while also contributing positively within a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proactive and efficient approach to tasks.

A full, clean UK driving licence is required, along with the ability to drive safely and competently.
