Assistant Service Manager – Automotive Aftersales
Location: Tunbridge Wells
Competitive Salary £35,000 + Bonus Structure - OTE £45,000
Full-Time | Permanent - Monday - Friday 

Are you a motivated Assistant Service Manager or an experienced Senior Service Advisor ready to step up in your career?

We’re on the lookout for a driven and detail-focused individual to lead and coordinate our Aftersales Department. This role is central to delivering exceptional customer service, hitting department targets, and supporting our team’s daily operations.

Main Purpose of the Role

As Assistant Service Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the Aftersales team—including Service Advisors, Technicians, Apprentices, and the Workshop Controller. Ensuring 100% productivity and customer satisfaction will be at the core of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Aftersales Manager during their absence
  • Lead daily team briefings and ensure clear communication across departments
  • Monitor daily WIP (Work In Progress) and drive workshop efficiency
  • Manage systems such as 1Link, Coopers, and EVHC to optimise workflow
  • Handle warranty claims, job card accuracy, and parts delays
  • Organise team coverage for holidays, sickness, and lunch schedules
  • Ensure compliance with VQM, Service Audits, GDPR, and MSQP standards
  • Maintain high levels of safety, cleanliness, and organisation
  • Support, coach, and develop staff to reach their potential

  • Service & Warranty Advisors
  • Head Office, Manufacturer Partners & Inspectors
  • Customers and Suppliers

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an automotive aftersales or service management role
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and organisational skills
  • Proficient with automotive IT systems and workshop processes
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
