COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TECHNICIAN - SITTINGBOURNE

7.00am – 4.30pm

A reputable main dealer in Sittingbourne is expanding its commercial workshop team and is seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their busy and professional environment. Whether you currently work at a main dealer, an independent commercial workshop, or a fleet maintenance operation—our client is open to a variety of backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete maintenance work including brakes, suspension, exhausts, clutches, and general repair tasks.
• Provide accurate repair estimates and communicate effectively with the Service Advisor team.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to DVSA safety standards and prepare vehicles for MOT where required.
• Maintain accurate job cards, reports, and workshop documentation.
• Advise customers and colleagues on future maintenance and vehicle condition.

Key Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ / IMI Motor Vehicle Qualification (or equivalent).
• Full, clean driving licence (essential).
• Experience in a commercial vehicle environment or strong transferable experience from car/light vehicle backgrounds.
• Own tools (desirable).
• Strong diagnostic ability and a proactive attitude.
