Diagnostic Technician – Ashford

Location: Ashford

Monday - Friday 

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a full-time Diagnostic Technician to join our team in Ashford.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs using the latest diagnostic technology and techniques. You will identify and resolve vehicle issues while adhering to manufacturer and company standards.

As a Diagnostic Technician, you will take pride in preparing vehicles to the highest standard. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality workmanship, and a desire to be part of a motivated and skilled team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicles while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

A full manufacturer training programme, leading to accredited status, is provided alongside working within a professional aftersales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard
  • Diagnose faults using advanced computer-based diagnostic equipment
  • Inspect mechanical and electrical components accurately
  • Repair or replace defective parts and resolve issues efficiently
  • Conduct DVSA vehicle testing
  • Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed successfully
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow checklists and procedures to ensure all work is completed correctly
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and to standard

About You

Qualifications & Skills

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in the automotive industry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to high standards and meet deadlines
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Full UK driving licence
