Our client is seeking a hands-on, strategic, and results-driven General Sales Manager to lead and inspire their sales team, drive business performance, and maintain a customer-first culture.

Role Overview:

As General Sales Manager, you will:

• Take full responsibility for the performance of the new and used car departments
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales and admin teams
• Shape and implement sales strategies to drive profitability and growth
• Oversee daily operations and deliver a consistently excellent customer experience
• Work closely with senior leadership and manufacturer partners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver volume, profit, and F&I targets across all sales channels
• Maintain and improve customer satisfaction and retention
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team
• Control stock levels, pricing, and display
• Monitor KPIs, reporting, and forecasting to optimise business performance
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and brand standards

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven success as a General Sales Manager or experienced Sales Manager within a franchised dealership
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills
• Highly organised with a commercial and customer-focused mindset
• Confident in using modern CRM and DMS systems
• A motivational leader who leads by example
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
