Sales Support Operative – Canterbury

Location: Canterbury

Salary: £28,089.10 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm (42.5 hours per week)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Support Operative to join a successful and busy main dealership in Canterbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career within the automotive industry. Previous motor trade experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Working within a busy dealership environment, you will play an important role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the forecourt, vehicle stock and customer-facing areas are maintained to a high standard.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on position where organisation, attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential.

You will work closely with the Sales Team and General Sales Manager, helping to ensure vehicles are prepared, presented and managed effectively throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vehicle logistics from preparation sites
  • Organise and maintain the used car display
  • Organise and maintain the new car display
  • Take high-quality photographs of vehicles
  • Create and display POS materials for vehicles
  • Support the sales team with day-to-day requirements
  • Assist the General Sales Manager with administrative tasks
  • Help maintain excellent standards across the forecourt and dealership
  • Ensure vehicles and displays are presented professionally
  • Support stock management and general dealership processes

About You

We are looking for a self-confident, motivated and organised individual who takes pride in their work and is keen to build a career within the automotive sector.

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A professional and well-presented approach
  • Confidence when liaising with the sales team
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
  • The ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
  • A willingness to attend any relevant specialist training

Previous experience within the motor industry would be advantageous but is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
